Amy Jordan is a veteran in the ballroom dance industry. Amy owned a franchise dance studio for over 23 years in Westerville and has moved to Newark to start Dance Joy Studios. She has trained many instructors who have opened ballroom dance studios and have a successful career in the ballroom dance industry. Amy moved to Ohio in 1983 with a degree in journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She was a newspaper editor for 10 years for the following publications; The Southeast Messenger, Dublin Village and Battelle Memorial Institute employee newsletter, The Current. In 1991, while attending Ohio State University in pursuit of her masters degree in Journalism, she answered an ad to be a studio trainee for a well know franchise dance studio. At that time she thought it would be a “fun to learn how to dance” and liked the idea of travel and sleeping late, as the ad implied would be part of the job requirements.
Ernesto is a world-class dancer, choreographer, and teacher with an impressive background in the performing arts. He graduated with honors from the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School in New York and served as the lead dancer for the National Ballet of Peru, performing in renowned ballets such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Don Quixote. His extensive Broadway experience includes performances in West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Chicago, and more. Ernesto was also the Choreographer Director of the Peruvian version of Dancing With the Stars and has collaborated with international artists like Enrique Iglesias and Juan Gabriel. Ernesto has recently relocated from Miami to Columbus.
